How do I register to play games on your site ?

You don't need to register on this site. We don't own the games listed in our directory, we don't run those games either. If you want to play a game, just click on the link in our directory and you will be forwarded to the game's home page. All the info about registering (if needed) should be available there.

I have to register to play games but I don't have an email address! How do I get my password?

Many of the games require registration and ask you to provide your email address, either to send you your personal password or to give you the ability to be rated in their rankings. If you don't have an email address or if you are afraid to give your personal email address to someone you don't know, you can get a free web-based email account at Fomigames' Arena!. It's free, private, reliable, easy to use, you can access it from any computer, and it provides a lot of useful features. Give it a try! It's very useful and it only takes a minute to have your new email address. Hotmail.com is a similar free service.

What is Java? What is a Java enabled web browser?

Java is a programming language. Some of the games you can find on this site were designed with Java, and you won't be able to play them if you don't have a Java enabled web browser. It should not be a problem at all because the latest versions of most browsers have Java implemented (Netscape 2.0 and higher and Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 and higher).
If you have a really old browser, you can easily download the latest version of Netscape Navigator or Microsoft IE by clicking one of the links below:
Netscape NavigatorMS Internet Explorer
If you already have a recent browser and have problems accessing Java games (i.e. if you get a blank square instead of actually seeing the game), check if the "Java enabled" function of your browser is switched on:

Netscape users
In the menu bar, choose Edit, then Preferences, then Advanced and make sure the 'Enable Java' box is checked.

MS Internet Explorer users
Internet Explorer 5.5 and lower should include Java (called 'Microsoft Virtual Machine', don't ask why). I heard that Java is not included with the Windows 2000/IE 5.5 package, and I don't know about IE 6.0. Anyway, if you just get a blank gray square when you are trying to play a java game, try the following:
#1 - Just wait a moment. :-) Some Java games just take a while to load, so be patient, even if nothing seems to be moving. If you still see nothing after 2-3 minutes then you can try solution #2.
#2 - Under the 'Tools' menu, open 'Internet properties'.
- Under the 'Advanced' tab, scroll down to Microsoft VM, make sure the 'Java JIT compilation activated' and 'Java console activated' boxes are checked.
- Under the 'Security' tab, click on 'Internet' and make sure the security is set not higher than 'medium' (use the slider to adjust the level if necessary). Next, click on the "Custom Level" button at the bottom of the Internet Properties window. Scroll down to the JAVA settings area, and under Java permissions make sure the "Disable Java" box is NOT checked. Finally, scroll down a little farther, and under the Scripting area, make sure that ALL of the buttons next to Enable are checked.
Close your browser and restart your computer. Try to connect to the game again.
#3 - Now if you still get a blank grey square instead of the game you expected, it could be that your Microsoft Virtual Machine is damaged, or that it is not installed on your computer at all (thanks to a brilliant Micro$oft idea). You need to follow this link and download the VM (5.5 Mb) from the Microsoft website. Once you have downloaded the file, double-click on it to install, wait for the installation process to end, then restart your computer and try again to connect to the game.
#4 - Sorry I don't have a #4, so if it still doesn't work then just use Netscape Navigator!!!

AOL users
If you want to use an AOL browser, you must have AOL 4.0 or later to be able to play Java games. AOL 3.0 or below does not support Java.
AOL does allow, however, the loading of a separate internet browser, such as Netscape or Explorer. To do this, dial-up your AOL account, then MINIMIZE THE AOL WINDOW and double click on either the Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Explorer icon on your desktop to load the browser in a separate window.

If you want to use AOL 4.0 or better:

Click on the "MyAOL" icon.
Next, click on the "WWW" icon.
Next, click on the Security tab in the AOL Internet Properties window, and make sure that the Security level is set to no higher than medium.
Next, click on the "Custom Level" button at the bottom of the Internet Properties window.
Scroll down to the JAVA settings area, and under Java permissions make sure the "Disable Java" button is NOT checked.
Finally, scroll down a little farther, and under the Scripting area, make sure that ALL of the buttons next to Enable are checked.

(Please note that these settings will help you view many sites on the Internet, not only play Java games, with no change in your "content permissions").

If these settings don't fix the connection, may we humbly suggest you call the AOL Tech Support line.

WebTV users
Sorry but WebTV users can't play Java games. You will have to choose a HTML game (noted as 'Web browser' in our directory).

You need to add Half-life (or any other commercial game) to your site!

Sorry but we are not a server dedicated to commercial network games, for 3 reasons: 1. We don't host games: the games are hosted on other sites. Our site is just a directory with links to free games.
2. We don't feature games requiring additional software, including game clients and retail games. The games in our directory are browser-based, it means that you should be able to play them in your web browser.
3. The games on our site are all free. Retail games are not free, as far as we know, you have to buy a copy, install it on your computer and then connect to a server to play online (and usually you have to pay a monthly fee). Our site is not dedicated to that kind of games.

You need to add Monopoly to your site!

Well, if you know a free browser-based Monopoly game out there on the Net then let us know! We don't design games, we just link to them. Basically we search for free browser-based games that are available on the Internet (thanks to all the cool people who create and run those games), and we list them for you in our directory, with a short description. So if you have created a game and want it to be listed here, just fill in this form with all the details and we will add it as soon as we can. But if you just have an idea for a game that still doesn't exist and that you would like to see in our directory, sorry, we can't really help you. Maybe you should try to post a message on our Forum and hope that a programmer will read it and create the game for you.
The reason why there aren't any free Monopoly games on the Net is probably the copyrights. Anyone who would like to run a web-based Monopoly should probably pay fees because of the copyrights, so it would be too expensive to run such a game.

Any other questions? please fill in this form.
